HarvestPlus opens micronutrient testing lab in Bangladesh

HarvestPlus on Monday inaugurated its X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) laboratory centre, first of its kind in Bangladesh, with two-day training at its Bogra regional office, said a press release yesterday.

At present, HarvestPlus facility is open only for its partner organisations to measure micronutrients -- such as zinc and iron in rice and wheat products -- for free.

Khairul Bashar, HarvestPlus country manager, was present at the inaugural ceremony.
