Hannan Shah laid to rest in Kapasia

ASM Hannan Shah, BNP standing committee member, was buried at his family graveyard in Gazipur's Kapasia upazila yesterday.

Hannan Shah, an army officer-turned politician, was laid to rest beside his father after the last namaz-e-janaza at Ghagutia High School ground around 3:30pm.

His first namaz-e-janaza in Gazipur was held at Rajbari around 9:00am followed by another at Kapasia Pilot High School ground around 11:00am, reports our local correspondent.

People from all walks of life alongside the party leaders, supporters and activists attended the namaz-e-janazas.

Hannan died of heart disease at Raffles Heart Centre in Singapore on September 27 at the age of 75.
