Posts and Telecommunications Division today introduced online file tracking system for detecting any file’s position inside the division.

Tarana Halim, state minister for Post and Telecommunications, inaugurated the newly adopted system at the division’s office in the Secretariat in Dhaka.

The system will help the division to save time in processing a file and also make the process faster, said Tarana.

“This file tracking system is the first of its kind under the government institutions,” the state minister also said.

“Earlier I have declared to introduce new system to make the working process faster and I did it as a part of my promise,” Tarana added.

Through this process, officials now can easily find out any specific file’s position and its time duration about how long that file is over there, said officials.

A giant monitor will be placed at the division’s office and it will show the file’s position.

“I can easily track the file over my mobile phone through an application,” Tarana further said.

This is a completely secure process which will make the working process faster, she added.

In the ceremony, Telecom Secretary Md Faizur Rahman Chowdhury was present among other senior officials of the division.
