Global startup contest starts on Dec 29

Daffodil International University (DIU) will host the Bangladesh National Final of Get in the Ring (GITR), a global startup competition in Dhaka on December 29, 2015 for the first time. DIU will host the competition in association with GITR Bangladesh for the entrepreneurs.

Prof Dr Golam Rahman, Pro –Vice Chancellor of DIU upheld the details of Global startup competition 'Get in the Ring' at the 'Meet the Press' yesterday at Dhaka Reporters Unity, said a press release.

Participants can register for the competition at www.gitr.co/apply, until December 07, 2015, at free of cost. The grooming session and primary selection round will be held from December 08-20, 2015 judged by a jury board formed by the personnel of relevent field. National Level grooming will be held from December 24- 27, 2015 and Grand Final on December 29, 2015. Rtv is the broadcast and organizing partner of the event while The Daily Star is the stategic partner.

The competition  is open for all and will be held in three categories: Light, Mid and Heavy weight. 3 competitors from each category will be in the Grand Finale and Champion of each group will be in the Regional Final (East Asia) and the International Final will be held in Netherland in March 2016.
