Girl 'raped' in Ashulia, 2 arrested

Two people were arrested yesterday following a case filed for allegedly abducting an 11-year-old girl on Thursday and raping her in captivity till Friday in Polashbari area of Ashulia, outside the capital.

Zisan Ahmed Biju, 30, and Lipi Akter, 22 -- claiming to be a married couple -- were arrested from their house.  Police, quoting the case statement, said on Thursday Biju abducted the girl while she was returning home from school and raped her with the help of Lipi till Friday. Biju is a 'known' drug trader in the area, police claimed.
