Girl found dead in abandoned house

A girl was found hanging from a window in an abandoned house near Matuail Medical College in Dhaka yesterday.

Ruhi Karim, 5, daughter of Rezaul Karim, was a first-grader, said Kadamtali police.

A 17-year-old teenage boy was arrested in this connection, said Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Saju Miah.

The teenager, a nephew of one of her neighbours, confessed that he abducted Ruhi for ransom, he said, adding that he killed her as Ruhi was screaming.
