No end to bloodspill on Roads

Four lives lost

Four people including a seven-year-old boy were killed in road accidents in four districts yesterday and on Saturday.

In Chapainawabganj, a seven-year-old boy was killed as an auto-rickshaw hit him while he was crossing the road in Dhop Pukur village under Shibganj upazila yesterday.

The deceased is Mohammad Wasim son of Jahangir Alam of the village.

In Savar, a man was killed as a bus hit his motorcycle from behind on Dhaka-Aricha highway at Noyarhat bus stand in Ashulia yesterday.

The deceased is Abul Hossen, 40, of Thagortoly village in Savar. He was an electrician.

In Rangpur, a man was killed as a goods-laden truck rammed his motorcycle in Pirganj upazila on Saturday evening.

The deceased Gias Uddin, 50, of Damdarpur village in Gaibandha, was a staff of Saullahpur upazila administration office. He died on the spot.

In Narayanganj, another motorcyclist was killed as a truck hit his vehicle on Dhaka-Narayanganj Link road in Fatulla on Saturday night.

The deceased is Omar Faruk, 40, of Mirpur-11 in the capital. He was the manager of Advanced Garments in Lalkha area of Fatullah.
