Four 'drug peddlers' arrested with heroin, Yaba

Four alleged drug peddlers were arrested with heroin and Yaba tablets in two districts yesterday and on Thursday.

In Jamalpur, Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested three drug peddlers with 400 grammes of heroin, worth Tk 40 lakh, in Durbhiti village under Sarishabari upazila on Thursday night.

The arrestees are Babul alias Babu, 38, of Panchashi Madhyapara village, Sumon, 22, of Daulatpur Madhyapara village and Samsul Haque, 50, of Doail Paschimpara village in the upazila.

Shahinuzzaman Khan, officer-in-charge of Jamalpur DB, said the three went there to sell the drug.

Meanwhile in of Chittagong city, police arrested Jahangir Alam, 35, of Teknaf with 2,000 pieces of Yaba tablets after searching a bus in Notunpara area yesterday.
