Four burnt in Ctg fire

Four people received burn injuries as a fire broke out in their room in Bandartila area of Chittagong city early yesterday.

Salma Akther, 21, Nargis Akther, 20, and Kohinoor Akther, 18, -- all are garment workers -- received 40 percent injuries while Nargis's brother Nayan, 17, received 60 percent.

Police said the fire started when one of them lit a candle due to power-cut.

The gas stove might have been kept switched on at night, police suspected.
