Footpaths occupied by vendors in Dhaka (Video)

Pedestrians face disruption while walking through the footpaths in Dhaka. Many footpaths of the city, which is one of the populated cities in the world, are seen full of vendors and makeshift shops.

Pedestrians often walk through the roads of the capital as they cannot move smoothly on the footpaths. They also do not feel comfort while moving through it.

Pedestrians for many days have been demanding to the authorities to free the footpaths from illegal occupation. They expected that their demand will be implemented if elected mayor in tomorrow’s city election gives priority to solve the problem.

Not only footpaths, the foot-overbridges have been also occupied by the floating vendors.

The elections of the Dhaka city corporations are scheduled to be held on April 28.
