Five more arrested over Ctg girl gang rape

Police early yesterday arrested five more persons including three teenagers in a case filed for the murder of a nine-year madrasa girl after rape in Chittagong city on January 21.

The arrestees are Belal Hossen alias Bijoy, 18, Robiul Islam alias Rubel, 16, Hasibul Islam alias Liton, 26, Aksan Mia alias Hasan, 18, and Sujon, 20.

With the latest roundup, the total number of arrestees is now six. Earlier, police arrested Monirul Islam Monu, 48, the caretaker of the building, where the girl was raped.

The second grader of a local madrasa was raped by seven persons in a flat of the building, Ayesha Mamtaj Mahal, and was later strangled when she cried for help.
