Firoza Begum's 47th anniversary of death today

Today is the 47th death anniversary of Firoza Begum, eldest daughter of late Jalal Uddin Ahmed, renowned educationist of Feni and award-winning headmaster of Ataturk High School and Feni Pilot High School.

She passed away on March 3, 1971 at the age of only 33 years while under treatment at a hospital in Rawalpindi due to rejection of blood during transfusion owing to group mismatch, said a press release.

Firoza left behind one daughter and four sons.

Her husband was the former director of Directorate of Primary Education, late Dr Saifuddin Ahmed, while retired additional secretary of Bangladesh government Dr Helal Uddin Ahmed is her eldest son.

Relatives, friends and well-wishers have been requested to pray for the salvation of her departed soul.
