Fire damages 20 transformers at Rangpur PBD warehouse

Twenty electric transformers of Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB) were damaged in a fire in Rangpur city early yesterday.

PDB officials said the fire broke out at a warehouse, PDB-1 (sale and purchase), at Shapla Square around 5:30am. On information, fire-fighters rushed there and doused the fire after three hours, said Fire Service officials.

However, the reason behind the fire could not be confirmed immediately, the officials said. PDB officials formed a three-member committee to investigate the incident.
