Fire at Ctg jute mill, firefighters among 5 burnt

Five including two fire fighters sustained burn injuries in a fire that broke out at a jute mill in Chittagong city’s Bayezid area this morning.

Injured firemen Md Mainuddin, 48, and Abdur Rab, 40, were admitted at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, our local staff correspondent reports.

Names of the other  injured civilians could not be ascertained immediately.

Kamal Uddin Bhuiyan, deputy assistant director of Chittagong Fire Service and Civil Defence, said four firefighting units tamed the flames that broke out at Amin Jute Mill around 10:25am.
