Fire breaks out at Ctg RMG factory

Fire damaged valuables, worth Tk 10 lakh, of a garment factory in Khatunganj area of Chittagong city yesterday.

The fire was originated from an electric short circuit at Baro Mia Fashion Garment, housed on the fourth floor of a five-storey building, around 4:45am, said Jashim Uddin, deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters in Agrabad.

Firefighters brought the fire under control around 6:15am, he added.
