FFs to get holding tax exemption in Dhaka

Freedom fighters will get holding tax exemption in Dhaka if the size of their houses is not more than 1,500 square feet.

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq came up with the announcement at a reception to the freedom fighters and their family members in the city today.

DSCC and DNCC jointly organised the programme at Bangabandhu National Stadium.

They also announced several initiatives for the welfare of freedom fighters including forming a fund.

"We will form a welfare fund for the freedom fighters so that they could easily get financial support when they want," DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon said.     

DNCC mayor Annisul Haq said the both city corporations are attentive in every issue of the freedom fighters.

When any issues of the freedom fighters come to knowledge of the city corporations they took immediate measures, he added.

The both mayor said that they have already kept space to bury the freedom fighters in different graves.
