Errant resturants, departmental stores, bakeries fined in capital

Several mobile courts of Dhaka Metropolitan Police yesterday fined 10 business outlets, including  four resturants, Tk 10.2 lakh in the capital for selling items without BSTI approval, date expired and rotten foods and not maintaining hygiene.

The courts led by two executive magistrates conducted the drives in Nayapaltan, Arambagh, Shantinagar, Mirpur, Rahmatbagh and Motijheel areas.

The businesses fined are, two outlets of Karai Gost (restaurant), an outlet of Muslim Sweets and Bakery, Tangail Sweets and Bakery, Meena Bazar, Rush Departmental Store, Cash and Carry Pharma, Ghoroa Hotel, Rabbani Food Products, and Haji Bakery.
