Energy secy Abu Bakar passes away

Abu Bakar Siddique, secretary to Energy and Mineral Resources Division, died of cardiac arrest at the capital's Square Hospital yesterday, aged 58.

He was born in Shariatpur's Naria on March 3, 1958. On April 22, 2001, he was posted in Bangladesh Secretariat as a senior assistant secretary and, later, worked in different ministries, divisions and departments.
