Dr Syed Wali Ashraf passes away

Dr Syed Wali Ashraf, a senior physician, passed away on February 3. He was 66, said a press release.

He left behind his wife Dr Shanaz Chowdhury, mother, son, daughter-in-law, grand daughters and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death. 

A doa mahfil will be held today at his Mohammadpur residence after the Asr prayers, the release added.

He was a valiant freedom fighter and had served in the Ministry of Health and Family Planning (Bangladesh), the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (Iran), BIRDEM, and various other NGOs and private organisations.
