Domestic help's hanging body found in capital

Police recovered the hanging body of an 11-year-old domestic help from an apartment in the capital's Badda area yesterday afternoon.

Noman, hailing from Noakhali, had been working at the apartment on the first floor of a six-storey building, for the last four months.

Claiming that Noman committed suicide, his employer, Noor Muhammad, a government employee, said they were watching TV when a family member went to the balcony and found his body hanging from the grill and informed police.

They rushed him to Badda General Hospital where the doctors declared him dead, said sub-inspector Shariful Islam.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for an autopsy.
