Dismissed Rakub official found dead in hotel

A dismissed official of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (Rakub) from Kurigram was found dead in a city hotel yesterday afternoon.

Police recovered the body of Abdullahel Baki alias Khokon, 45, by breaking open the door of room no. 518 at the hotel.

“He was lying upside down on the floor of the bathroom and he was found unhurt. It appeared he suffered a heart attack,” said Rajpara Police.

Khokon, a supervisor of RAKUB, was sacked following allegations of different irregularities several months ago, said SM Rafiqul Islam, deputy general manager of RAKUB in Rangpur division.
