Airport Road clash: Passengers miss flights due to heavy gridlock

Several passengers today missed different international flights due to huge traffic congestion on the Airport Road in Dhaka following a clash between two factions of Tabligh Jamaat.

Meanwhile, the scheduled flights left the airport with so many empty seats since morning.

Most of the flights left the airport with a delay of around 30 minutes, Md Zakir, an official of the control tower, told The Daily Star.

A Thai airways flight which left the airport had almost half of the seats empty, an airport official told The Daily Star.
