5 suspects held over killing youth at Holi festival

Five people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the killing of a youth during celebration of Holi festival in old Dhaka's Shakharibazar area on March 1.

The law enforcers arrested the five from different parts of the capital last night, Moshiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The victim, Ronok Rahman Akon, son of late Shaheed Mia of Kamrangir Char, was a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) candidate of Azimpur New Paltan Line School and College.

Some youths beat up and stabbed him when he along with his friends was celebrating Holi festival.
