Depression over bay weakens

Light rain is likely in the capital and its adjoining area today as a depression over the Bay of Bengal has weakened.

According to the meteorological department, the depression over west-central bay and adjoining area moved further west-southwestwards and weakened into a well marked low over west central bay off Andhra Pradesh coast yesterday morning.

Later, it moved to west-southwesterly direction further and weakened gradually.
