Demra construction worker dies 'falling' off building

A construction worker died after "falling" from top floor of a six-storey under-construction building in Demra of Dhaka this morning.

The deceased was Rana, 20, of Dashmina upazila in Patuakhali.

Rana fell down around 9:00am while working on the roof of the building on Alamin road at Konapara, his co-worker Sohel told The Daily Star.

He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 10:00am.

Bacchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost, confirmed the incident.
