Debate festival held at BM College

Govt BM College for the first time organised a debate festival on the college campus yesterday.

Talukder Mohammad Yunus, lawmaker of Barisal consutituencey-2, inaugurated the daylong festival where Prof Shawpon Kuma Paul, the college principal, was also present.

BM College Debating Club with assistance from Barisal Debate Association organised the festival.

Around 400 debaters from 20 departments along with HSC students of the college participated in the programme.

Prof M Maksudur Rahman Khan, former chairperson of political science department, and SM Emanul Hakim, former principal of the college, were honoured with life time awards yesterday.
