Debate competition for visually impaired students

A debate competition for the visually impaired students of universities and colleges will be kicked off across the country for the first time.

The inauguration of the competition titled "Juktir Aloy Dekhi" will be held on April 21 at FDC in Dhaka.

Debate for Democracy has organised the competition with the slogan "Onno Dristite Amar Prithibi", DFD Chairman Hassan Ahamed Chowdhury Kiron said at a press briefing at National Press Club today.

The debates will take place on themes surrounding various problems faced by the disabled, social perspective towards them and responsibilities of society, family and the state towards them, the DFD chairman said.

Already a total of eight teams consisting of five member each have been selected to take part in the competition including teams from Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram and Jahangirnagar universities.
