Death anniversary

Today is the 34th death anniversary of Barrister Saleh Uddin, a Language Movement veteran and one of the organisers of the 1971 Liberation War, says a press release.

He was elected member of the Pakistan National Assembly in 1970 with Awami League ticket. Later, he joined the National Awami Party (NAP-Bhasani) and became vice president. He was also founder of the Bangladesh Justice Party.

On the occasion, a Qurankhwani will be held at his village home in Faridpur. Prayers will be offered at his graveyard and a milad mahfil will be held after the Asr prayers at his son's residence at 131/1 Uttar Bashabo in the capital.
