DB man, ASI held with Yaba pills

Police arrested a member of Detective Branch (DB) of police and his accomplice allegedly along with 4,000 Yaba pills from Katherpool area in Chandina upazila of Comilla on Tuesday night, reports UNB.

The arrestees are Nasir Uddin, an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of DB posted in Rangamati, and Kawsar hailing from Pratappur village in Sadar Dakkhin upazila.

A team of police intercepted the duo on Dhaka-Chittagong highway and recovered the contraband items, said police.

Meanwhile, police arrested an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police with 41 pieces of Yaba pills from the capital's Khilgaon rail gate area at 6:30pm yesterday.

Majnu Mollah, 36, was attached to Rajarbagh police lines since 2014, after he was closed in a narcotics case, according to police sources.
