Cuta election on Wednesday

The election to the executive committee of Chittagong University Teachers' Association (Cuta) will be held on Wednesday.

Prof Mihir Kumar Roy of physics will compete for the post of president from pro-Awami League “yellow panel” while Prof Abdul Mannan of chemistry from BNP-Jamaat-backed “white panel”, said Chief Election Commissioner Prof Mohammed Mohiuddin.

Prof Moazzam Husain of management studies will vie for the post of general secretary from the yellow panel and Prof Shafiqul Islam of the Institute of Marine Science and Fisheries from the white panel, he added.
