Porsche dumped in Hatirjheel with a note

Customs intelligence officials today seized a luxury car left abandoned in Dhaka’s Hatirjheel area.

Inside was a note and the keys, said Moinul Khan, director general of customs intelligence. It is thought that the car was brought into country dodging taxes.

Though the owner was yet to be ascertained, the note, apparently from the owner requested that the customs intelligence officials leave him alone.

“I am a well known person. This car is very dear to me. I came to know recently that it was brought dodging tax. That’s why I am surrendering my car,” the note read.
