CU teachers demand Myanmar take back Rohingyas

The teachers of Chittagong University (CU) yesterday demanded that Myanmar stop genocide and take back the Rohingyas, who fled into Bangladesh fearing persecution, without any excuses.

CU Teachers' Association (Cuta) placed the demand through a joint statement signed by its President Prof Mihir Kumar Roy and General Secretary Prof Moazzam Husain.

Cuta sought the intervention of global communities in this regard.

“Though Bangladesh is a small country crammed with a huge population, it did not forget to show their humanity for Rohingya refugees….which Europe did not show for war-ravaged Syrian refugees”, it added.
