CU journalist accuses BCL men of slapping him

A journalist of Chittagong University-based CUtimes24.com filed a general diary while his fellows formed a human chain in Chittagong Press Club yesterday protesting him being allegedly slapped by two Bangladesh Chhatra League activists on Friday night.

Shariful Islam, a master's student, told The Daily Star that the assault followed him questioning one of the duo who was telling friends in front of Shah Amanat Hall of his dislike of journalists. The BCL men were not available for comment.
