Ctg night guard killed by robbers

A night guard was killed allegedly by robbers as he tried to resist them at Majumderkhil Bazar in Shantiniketan area of Rangunia upazila in Chittagong yesterday, said police.

The deceased Tapan Biswas, 53, was discharging his duty on Tuesday night when the robbers tried to break open the lock of a shop in the bazar.

Inspector of Rangunia Police Station Abul Kalam Azad said the robbers might have strangled him as he tried to resist them. The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
