Syed Mamunur Rashid, 24, a final semester student of electrical and telecommunication engineering at East West University, is suffering from large B-cell lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.

He is being treated under the supervision of Haematologist Srikant Muralikrishnan at Apollo Hospital Chennai in India.

The family has lost almost everything for the expensive treatment and now needs another Tk 70 lakh more, said Rashid's father Syed Ali Sarker, a schoolteacher in Kurigram.
