Counter-terror unit to probe case over glitch in PM's plane

The Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of police will investigate the case filed over the emergency landing of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's aircraft in Turkmenistan on November 27, Noor-e-Azam, officer-in-charge of Airport Police Station, yesterday told The Daily Star.

The Biman authorities filed the case with Airport Police Station Tuesday night against its nine staff.

Earlier, Biman has suspended the nine.

Three enquiry committees were formed following the incident -- one by the civil aviation ministry, one by Biman and another by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh.
