Another doctor dies from Covid-19

Another doctor who was infected with Covid-19 died at a hospital in Dhaka this morning.

Dr Shakhawat Hossain, an anesthesiologist of Islami Bank Central Hospital in Kakrail, was admitted at AMZ Hospital on May 29 after he tested Covid-19 positive.

He breathed his last around 7:45am at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital, Zubair Al Hasan, billing officer of AMZ Hospital, told The Daily Star.

With Shakhawat, at least 22 doctors died with Covid-19 infection while four died showing Covid-19-like symptoms. Besides, around 1,100 doctors were so far infected with the virus, according to Bangladesh Doctors Foundation.
