Cop killed in Gulistan road crash

A policeman died today after being hit by a bus at Gulistan in Dhaka.

M Julhash was a constable posted at Protection Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Morshed Alam, officer-in-charge of Paltan Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The bus hit the policeman around 8:00am when he got out of a police car to attend his duty in the area, the OC also said.

The victim was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries in the evening, the police officer added.

Police have seized the bus and detained the driver and his helper.
