College student among two dead in road crashes

A college student was killed as a truck rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw carrying him in Natun Bazar area of Muktagacha upazila headquarters in Mymensingh on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased Asaduzzaman Asad, 22, of Binodpur area was a second-year honours student of Government Ananda Mohan College.

He was returning home after appearing his examination.

Asad with serious injuries was rushed to Muktagacha Upazila Health Complex but was shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where he died in the afternoon, police said.

In another incident, fish trader Mohamamd Rana, 30, of Khulna was killed and three others injured as a truck rammed their fish-laden pick-up van on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Hazir Bazar area of Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh yesterday.
