Code of conduct for shrimp industry updated

Fisheries and Livestock Minister Mohammad Sayedul Hoque on Sunday launched the updated Code of Conduct for Bangladesh's shrimp industry, an export earner, as a part of observing National Fish Week 2015 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister underscored the importance of implementation of the code as per internationally recognised norms and standards to ensure the quality and safety of Bangladeshi shrimp products, says a press release.

The code was formulated in 2011 and updated recently.
