CID detains three, seizes 1,000 bottles of Phensedyl

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) members detained three persons including a woman after recovering 1,000 bottles of Phensedyl from an ambulance in Daudkandi upazila of Comilla yesterday morning.

As the law enforcers stopped an ambulance at a checkpoint on secret information, the gang tried to evade saying they were taking a woman in labour to a hospital in the capital.

The detainees, Rebecca Sultana, 28, of Gopalganj, Mamun, 30, of Thakurgaon, and Badsha, 32, of Comilla, used to smuggle Phensedyl from India.
