Chinese FM makes several-hour stopover at Dhaka airport

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a stopover for several hours at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka yesterday on his way to Africa.

Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque welcomed the Chinese foreign minister at the airport after his arrival around 1:00am, airport sources said.

The aircraft carrying Wang Yi landed in Dhaka for an hour initially for refueling, according to the airport sources. But he left at 9:00am due to fog, said a Chinese diplomat.
