Chinese couple mugged in Ctg

Muggers snatched the bag from a Chinese couple in Chowmuhuni area of Chittagong city yesterday morning.

In a written complaint filed with Double Mooring Police Station, Li Li Leo, 30, alleged that muggers coming in a CNG-run-auto-rickshaw snatched her bag while she was going to Agrabad with her husband by a rickshaw, said Sub-Inspector of the station Sebu Barua.

The couple came to Chittagong from Dhaka by a bus in the morning and was going to a hotel in Agrabad.

A laptop, 1,000 dollar, Tk 2 lakh, their national identity cards and driving license were in the bag, Li alleged in the complaint.

Sebu said they were conducting drives to arrest the muggers.
