Child labourer “commits” suicide in Ctg

A child labourer allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his mess at Monsurabad under Double Mooring Police Station on Monday night.

Amir Hossen Bhuiyan, 15, an employee at an aluminium goods manufacturing factory, used to live with his co-worker in the mess, said police.

Amir on Monday morning told his co-worker cum roommate that he would be late for work but did not turn up there.

Upon returning, the roommate broke open the house door, which was locked from inside, and found Amir hanging, police added.

Police sent the body to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. An unnatural death case filed.
