The CJ also assigned Justice M Imman Ali and Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, two judges of the Appellate Division, to run the chamber courts during the vacation, SC Registrar General Dr Md Zakir Hossain said.

Of the 23 vacation benches, 13 are two-member (division) benches and 10 are one-member (single bench).

According to a notice issued by the SC administration on its website on Tuesday, holiday courts will operate from 11:00am to 1:15pm on weekdays.

The number of HC judges stood at 98 after 18 additional judges were appointed on May 30 this year.

Among them, two are dealing with the war crimes cases filed at the International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1).
