Chief justice reconstitutes 5 HC benches after 2-week vacation

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain today reconstituted five High Court benches, as both the Appellate and High Court divisions of the Supreme Court will reopen tomorrow after a two-week annual vacation.

Among the five HC benches, two are two-member (division) benches and three are one-member (single bench).

A total of 53 HC benches will hear and dispose of the cases after the reconstitution of the benches, SC sources said.

Both the Appellate and HC divisions of the SC went on an annual vacation on December 19 last year.
