Brac opens math learning centre

Brac yesterday opened a learning centre for children in the capital's Dhanmondi to develop a comprehensive method of leaning mathematics.

Named after Japanese mathematics teacher Toru Kumon, the centre titled “Kumon Centre” will hold classes twice a week -- in two batches for children age from 4 to 14. A student will be provided with exercises with simple maths in a time frame. 

At present, Kumon Centre will be run with 30 students in pilot phase in the next two weeks. Another centre of Kumon will open in Uttara next month.
