Boy drowns in Mymensingh pond

An 11-year-old boy drowned in a pond in Mujati Madhyapara area of Muktagacha upazila in Mymensingh on Thursday noon.

The deceased Swaron Dey, 11, son of Biswajit Dey of the area was a fifth-grader of a local school, said police.

Akhter Morshed, officer-in-charge of Muktagacha Police Station, said Swaron went to take a bath in the pond and drowned.

Later, locals spotted his body while it was floating on the water, said the OC.
