Body of seventh grader recovered 4 days after abduction in Dhaka

Lawmen have recovered body of a 13-year old boy, who was abducted from Khilgaon of Dhaka four days ago.

The body of Zisan Hosen, 13, a student of class VII of Sipahibag International Ideal School and College, has been recovered from a canal in Aftabnagar area of Badda yesterday, Kazi Wazed Ali, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station, told The Daily Star today.

Zisan went missing on January 19. Later, messages from the boy’s mobile number started to come at his father’s mobile asking to pay Tk 15 lakh of ransom for the release of the boy, said victim’s cousin Sohag Khan.

A general diary (GD) was filed after the boy went missing with the Khilgaon Police Station on January 20.

Police are trying to arrest the culprits, said Moshiure Rahman, officer- in-charge of Khilgaon Police Station.
