Body found in Mohammadpur canal

A highly decomposed body of a man was recovered from Mohammadpur canal in Dhaka today.

The body was found floating on the canal in a highly decomposed state at around 3:00pm, Jamaluddin Meer, Officer-in-Charge of Mohammadpur Police Station told The Daily Star.

The body could be 10-15 days old. The identity of the man could not be known yet, the OC added.

The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue. Only after an autopsy the cause of death and other details could be ascertained, he said.
